It’s just the twinkle in your eye that makes me want to die…
November 25, 2009
Wow, it’s been pretty much forever since I last blogged. I better not make a habit out of this. So ya, anyways… Where to start.
I may as well say it now, I’ve completed only one thing on my list. LAME! I played DDR with my friend after we went to watch 2012 (And totally owned at it 8D) I even had the opportunity to hit someone with a rubber chicken (#60)! Hmm. Well, I’ve got someone’s address to write to them AND I’ve got the opportunity to buy a bobblehead for someone for Xmas. And I might even learn a little guitar…
Bah, 2012 wasn’t as good as people made out it was. Some parts were wayyyyy too Hollywood. What I mean by this is that some bits were a little frickin’ predictable. I mean seriously, what are the odds that driving away from an erupting.. Well.. Ground, that the flying pieces of lava and rock and allsorts don’t hit you? I mean COME ON. For an action-filled disaster movie, I guess it was okay. For the movie of the century, chyeah I doubt it.
Hmm… Social life! I have one now
New-ish friend inviting me to play pool every Tuesday (Call him D).. Isn’t that awesome? Uh, no. I suck at pool. Learnt that out the hard way last Tuesday and there’s noooo way I’m going to get better. But, being the gentleman he is, he’s offered that next Tuesday I could have a separate table with him so he can ’show me the ropes’… Suspicious <_< He apparently talks about me every now and then when he’s around his friend’s (We’ll call him T) and T appears to really want me and D together. I met that very friend at pool, he’s nothing like I thought he’d be. Though, he did drop a hint as we were leaving the pool place that went like this:
T : So am I dropping you off at yours, Vix?
Me : Um yah, in *insert my town name here*, is that okay?
T : Yah I guess, I just thought you’d be over D’s house for the night *sly grin*
Silly T. But yah, he’s awesome. Even bought me a drink n_n Also, in other news, the guy from the Skindred gig (mentionned in post um.. 2) is a little pushy. The age difference is like 4 years so yah.. I don’t know. He keeps wanting me to go over and he likes seeing me in cosplay which is a little weird but I don’t know.. These new friends are real awesome though :3
Universityyyyyy! AGH! My teacher has only JUST finished my damn reference for my UCAS application! Sucks. Suckssuckssucks. I’m not going to get ANY offers from Universities, am I? I mean, my personal statement is pretty much finished and the person in charge of sending them off says it’s good but damn my teacher.
Still need a dangly phone charm. I’m bored of Bidoof now and the Pokémon sticker from it came off. Now I get people asking me why the hell I’ve got a beaver in a neckerchief attatched to my phone. It makes no sense. I think I’ma buy a Hello Kitty charm from the mall next time I’m out.
AAAAAAAHHH! LADY GAGA! She’s so awesome, ne? I watched her video for Bad Romance the day it aired which was rad. I heard her video for VideoPhone got leaked onto the internet for like a half hour or something? Eh, I wish I’d seen it. I totally have tickets to go see her in Nottingham in March. How awesome is that? VERY. Final Fantasy XIII is out in March too, isn’t it? Wow, March will be a good month ^_^
Speaking of games.. My dad just got me Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition, Grand Theft Auto VI, Prototype and Assassin’s Creed 2. And d’you know what sucks the most…? I never have any damn time to play on my Xbox! D’: Maybe during the holidays… I’m still trying to complete RockBand and GuitarHero too though so.. Meh.
I’ve decided to end these from now on with a DTWLED thing. Me and my friends text this to each other when we’re bored to get a conversation started. Each letter stands for: Doing, Thinking, Wearing, Listening, Eating, Drinking. So um.. Yah.
Doing : Attempting my Psychology assignment and Biology reading task. Waiting for my driving instructor to arrive in a half hour.
Thinking : Oh gosh, it’s freakin’ cold… My fingers are freezing while typing this.
Wearing : Light blue jeans, a Powerpuff Girl Bubbles necklace, a white jacket and a random white tee with orange, purple and green clouds and stars and rainbows and castles and puzzle pieces and lightning bolts… I’m pretty sure this is what the inside of my head is like ^w^
Listening : Mindless Self Indulgence – Due
Eating : Smoked salmon and pepper sushi
Drinking : Coffee, of course :3
Until next time… See ya!
I’m not afraid of the dark, it’s what could be waiting in it.
October 28, 2009
Wow, not blogging gave me withdrawal symptoms. Kind of.. I started writing in an actual diary… Scary times.
SO, I’m back and no, I don’t have anything majorly useful to say but… On with the post!
First, I’m happy to report that since I’ve been gone I’ve successfully completed two from my List. I have:
- Bought Loveless manga
- Actually bought and kept a new phone
Only two? Wow… That’s lame.
But the Tocco Lite is pretty awesome, regardless of the complaints on the Samsung website. I’ve got unlimited internet which just fuels my Facebook addiction. Speaking of which, I haven’t updated my status in *checks watch* Like an hour! -w- No, it’s not that bad but I’m pretty sure it’s getting there. I just need some dangly phone charms to accompany my Bidoof that’s dangling away. Maybe get a little DeathNote charm that I’ve been eyeing on eBay…. Hmm…
Moving swiftly on to….. Driving. I suck at it. And I’m spending £21 a lesson on something I’m pretty sure I’ll never improve at D: The instructor person just seems to be oblivious of how bad I actually am. I’ve almost hit three cars, scratched some of the paintwork on the left hand wing mirror by going to close to the bushes and I’m pretty sure I almost gave him whiplash last lesson when I slammed the brakes on. I can’t wait til I can just pass and leave it at that. I won’t need a car for University seeings as.. Well… It costs more to keep your car in the carpark there so yah.
University. How the hell can I choose from the oh-so many awesome choices? I wanna choose one that’ll suit every particular aspect of ‘the dream’ such as accommodation, course, fees, etc.. And I will get to Uni. *nodnod* That’s if I can figure out my damn personal statement. I’ve pretty much written it up and was happy with it until I read my A* everything, know-it-all, everyone loves me ’cause of my multicoloured hair friend’s statement. Why can some people just be awesome at everything without trying at all compared to people like me who try soooo so hard to be the best but only gets grades like C’s and B’s. Bah. If there’s a God, I’m pretty sure I’ve done something to piss him off.
Hmm… What to move to next? Ah yes, Halloween. A child’s excuse to eat their own weight and more in candy, a female’s excuse to wear the least amount of clothing possible and a teen’s excuse to have a house party. I fall into the latter ’cause of two main reasons: Wearing little clothing appeals to me about as much as a lifetime supply of Cadbury’s chocolate would appeal to a diabetic and second, house parties are always awesome. Always. I’m going as Cosmo from Fairly Odd Parents (yes I’m that cool -w-) and I’ve persuaded my sister to go as Wanda. So far to the party I’ve got: A Beauty and the Beast, an escaped convict, The Joker, a zombie, a girl that was murdered at prom and more… And a hell of a load of drink. We’re thinking up games to play that’ll last through the night but this time around we’ve got a curfew, so to speak. All loud music and Xbox games are turned off at 1am. Which sucks. Normally, you see, we play RockBand or Guitar Hero until the sun comes up but this time, the neighbours are home so we have to ‘take them into consideration’. Fuck them!
Needs… Party… Now…
And thus, another pointless, less melancholic post is finished.
Who knows, I might be back tomorrow to tell of my Cosmo/Wanda progress and maybe… Just maybe.. There’ll be pictures?
Whatevs. Yours truly..

October 18, 2009
Ah damn, I ruined the whole ‘post every four days’ trend I had going on. Nevermind.
So, as promised I’ve re-written up my List and shall paste it here. I’ll probably mention in a post every now and then whether I completed something or not but I’ll keep editing this post to like.. Cross one out.
So um.. Yah. I’ll put it here in it’s original context so it’s exactly as I have it printed out… Hmm…

October 14, 2009
Hmm, it’s strange. I always want to greet someone when beginning to write one of these, yet… There’s never anyone to address, is there?
I’m here, once more. Still unable to identify a true reason as to these but I feel a sense of… I don’t know really. I just feel like if I can actually talk freely here, it saves me having to try and convey my feelings in real life, you know? Hm.. I guess I’ll find a purpose for this blog eventually.
I’ve been browsing through other’s blogs to possibly get ideas but some are reviews of movies or games and some are How To Do… style blogs, all unique in their own little ways. I’ll find something, I’m sure of it. As I stated in the post before this, I’ll post up my ‘List of Things To Do for 2009′ and just keep it updated from time to time. So, next post?
Love’s a funny thing isn’t? There’s always one person that can make you smile more than anyone else in the world… One person who, if you were ever in any trouble or danger, would fight for you til death. A couple of years ago I was head over heels, infatuated with someone. There was only one major problem… I was in England, they weren’t. We ‘dated’ for a while but basically we couldn’t ever see each other and grew apart. But while we were ‘together’ we’d send dozens of emails and letters too! Just reading through them again brings back all the memories and the feelings from that time. If the economy wasn’t doing a nosedive I’d totally go over there to see them but… *sigh* It wouldn’t really be the same anymore would it? So now I have an ‘interest’ but reading through those letters makes me feel… I guess it makes me feel like no one could ever make me feel that way again.
University’s top on my list of things to achieve. I’m currently in my second year of college now and I can’t wait to go. I’m going to Open Days and checking them all out before I make the choices concrete. Hopefully whichever one I choose has an anime society, I love feeling like I belong :3
My top five from highest to lowest are:
- Derby
- Kent
- De Montfort (Leicester)
- UCLan (University of Central Lancashire)
- Coventry
But I’ve still yet to explore Kent and De Montfort, so that list could change at any moment. Even though I’d like to choose the more Biological/scientific side of Forensic Science, I’d still enjoy actually experiencing the other half and lifting prints and swabbing bloodstains and all that. The problem with some universities is that they either won’t let Biological Forensic scientists try this OR they don’t have a Crime Scene House. Which are like, super points in my book.
This blog remains pointless.
Ah well, I can sleep on it. Maybe I’ll become an aspiring chef and post up my newfound recipes or… Maybe I’ll wake up tomorrow and find out I have art skills comparable to Yuzu Mizutani (Magical x Miracle, read it. It’s good ^-^) so I could photoshop up a How To Draw Merleawe or something. Both choices of which, I doubt.
I’ll see.
Uh…… Bye?
Colour me intrigued.
October 10, 2009
Hey again, it’s me, melancholy girl.
So I still don’t know what to do with this blog. Do I use it as a diary that everyone can read or do I just use it to pour my heart out and hope someone will take pity on me? Ah well.
I neglected to mention in my first post about my ‘List of Things To Do in 2009′ which I obviously wrote in ‘08. It’s composed of 65 items of which I would like to complete this year but so far I’ve only completed a dismal 22. I’m thinking of maybe posting it up here sometime soon…. Hmm…
I was reading the list over at about 4pm yesterday and saw that I still hadn’t been to see a band live at all. So I searched up on the wonderful world of Google for gigs in my area and, lo and behold, there was a band I was pretty familiar with.
So, I went with some friends there in order to cross one more off. Skindred were pretty epic. Their support bands, Karnivol and DeadByApril, were really awesome too. I lost one of my Loveless badges and my MisaMisa badge from my bag strap but I took my anger out over that in the ‘mosh pit’ and pretty much punched some guy. All in all, I had a really good night but there was someone I was going to meet there but didn’t/couldn’t.
We met on this University-style Facebook-esque website called YouGo which is the shortened version of You Go Further, implying everyone will go straight to Uni and not drop out and become McDonald’s workers. But anyway, back on point. We were in the anime society forum talking about which Uni’s had them and which ones didn’t. He mentioned his Uni did and I asked where it was and he was pretty near and he offered to meet sometime. I said I was going to this gig and coincidentally so was he for his journalism article.
But basically, due to my lack of confidence, wherever he text me that he was, I pretty much made sure I wasn’t. *sigh* I’m such a retard for that kind of thing.
But as a product of talking to someone new, I’ve been introduced to three new anime/ manga:
- Skip Beat
- Boys Next Door
- Junjou Romantica
So, I’ll probably post again soon just to say how good/bad they are. I’m looking forward to the second one, the description about it made me want to buy it straight away and read it now but, alas, I can’t. Due to lack of funds and my inability to try and find a job, I’m living off of EMA and I’m taking driving lessons too. Sucks.
I need to do some work now but I’ll probably go back upstairs to my room to try and complete RockBand I and II before I have to give it back to my friend.
Ciao,
Vix.
Enter, stage left.
October 6, 2009
I guess I’ve gotta somehow welcome myself to the site with an introduction of sorts?
Can you ever really write these without trying to sell youself? *sigh*
Basically, I’m a girl with many likes and dislikes. I have trouble coming to terms with failure and I believe to have a semi-diluted form of Obsessive Compulsive. The daughter to a psychic with Bipolar disorder and a lorry driver with emotional issues, I have traits of both but I don’t want to be like either of them. I’m not special in any way whatsoever and this blog is not meant to make you believe otherwise. I don’t know how to draw or sing or dance or write… I’m simply… Me. And that’s all I can ever really be. It’s all I’ll ever want to be.
And on that slightly melancholic note, I’ll take my leave.
Goodbye wordpress, and assumed audience, I’ll return when I want to post.
